Kansas City, MO – Dec 29, 2010 – MetroAir Virtual has announced it is launching non-stop daily service between Washington Dulles and Rome, Italy; Also announced is a new route between Fort Lauderdale, FL and Montevideo, Uruguay. The two new international routes will commence on New Years Day 2011.
Speaking about the new service, Matt Calsada, MetroAir’s Chief Executive Officer said: “As we explore new routes that expand our reach and add convenience to the lives of our customers, we are excited to announce MetroAir’s increased presence in Europe and South America. The new non-stop services will offer many important travel options for our business and leisure customers.”
Both routes will be operated using A330 aircraft with 293 seats in a two-cabin configuration and will be scheduled as follows:

William Hogarth, Director of Aircraft Operations, stated “We are delighted to expand our transatlantic operations and getting our foot back on the European ladder with the City of Rome. Along side Europe, we are pleased to finalize additional service to South America. Montevideo stood out due to an open gap in the Uruguay market.” He continue to say “We expect both markets to prove to be opportunistic, successful and enjoyable for both the company and our passengers alike.”
