South American Expansion

KANSAS CITY, MO-Beginning December 4th 2013, MetroAir will offer non stop service to two new South American and Central American markets which will see the airlines list of cities served in the region rise to 11.

The expansion will see the addition of service to Cali, Colombia  and Panama City from both Baltimore and Fort Lauderdale with all four routes being operated on the Airbus A319.

The new routes come in the wake of the Airlines announcement of new aircraft and its ongoing effort to expand into South America. The airlines Chief Executive Officer said “We are delighted to announce these new routes and we are looking forward to further expansion to South America  in the future. It is our goal to provide a reliable and comfortable service to the places our customers want to go. ”

Both cities see huge numbers of American tourists and business men alike travelling between these two popular cities. Cali in particular has some breathtaking scenery and attractions while Panama is ideally located to the famous Panama Canal.

The airlines Chief Operating Officer, William Hogarth was on hand to explain the new routes “I echo the comments made by Matt, we are very excited to bring these new routes to the table. They come at a very exciting time at MetroAir, as we see a lot of expansion both domestically and internationally. These two new service will compliment the expansion nicely. All flights will be scheduled so that they can provide connections between passengers heading east to Europe and those arriving heading further south.”

More expansion is expected in the new year as more of the airlines new aircraft arrive from Europe, so stay tuned for more announcements.
