ASHEVILLE, NC – Today, Zak Winnick, Director of Fleet and Route Development for MetroAir Virtual Airlines, and the City of Asheville, NC announced new daily service from Kansas City, MO and Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX.
“We’re extremely excited to begin our flights from Kansas City and Dallas today, as we’re the only airline to fly from both cities to Asheville.” stated Winnick.
The routes will be flown utilizing one of the new Embraer ERJ170LRs that the company recently received.
“One of our pilots, Ryan Lombardi, suggested the route to the team, as Asheville is his hometown. We did a little research, and we liked what we saw!”
Starting today, the new routes are scheduled as follows:
(all times are local)
- Flight 3405: MCI-AVL 1000-1245
- Flight 3506: AVL-DFW 1315-1415
- Flight 3507: DFW-AVL 1445-1745
- Flight 3508: AVL-MCI 1815-1900
Additionally, the route times for flights 3401-3404 servicing MCI-DTW-MCI have been altered slightly to align with the new routes to Asheville, as those flights utilize the same aircraft.
