PORTLAND, OR – MetroAir Virtual Airlines has added two new routes between Hawaii and the West Coast for the remainder of the summer tourist season. Starting Tuesday July 22nd, MetroAir will fly once daily between Portland, OR and Kahului, Maui, and Los Angeles, CA (LAX) and Kona, Hawaii.
“The demand for additional service to Hawaii is there for the taking,” said Chief Operating Officer William Hogarth, “We’re planning on continuing this seasonal service until the end of the winter holiday season, sometime in early January.”
MetroAir currently flies to Honolulu, Kahului, and Lihue from Southern California, and to Honolulu from Portland, OR. The new seasonal flights to Kahului and Kona will be operated by MetroAir’s Airbus A321 aircraft. Flights 4023/4024 PDX-OGG-PDX and flights 604/605 LAX-KOA-LAX will depart the West Coast in the evening and return as a redeye.
