*KANSAS CITY, MO – *The MetroAir executive board has been reshuffled today following the departure of Derrick Medlin from his role as Chief Personnel Officer.
Derrick has held this position since January 2013 and he has served the MetroAir board incredibly well during his time. He has seen the implementation of new hub managers, Dave and Jared, as well as continuing to monitor PIREP quality control and ensure a smooth operation within the HR department. Derrick has devoted many hours to MetroAir since he joined the airline back in 2008 and has been a very popular manager among all his colleagues. From all the executive management, we thank him for his devoted service and wish him every success for the future. Derrick intends to remain a member of the pilot team.
With Derrick’s departure, the board has announced that Lindle Romero will be reassigned the position of Chief Personnel Officer, effective immediately. Lindle is a familiar face in the board room served in this position until Derrick took over in 2013.
The final change is the appointment of Anders Young to the executive board as Chief Media Officer, effective immediately. Anders has been a very involved pilot and staff member at MetroAir since he joined the company back in 2009. Anders has been a star player within the Media and Operations departments over the last eight months since he moved from his first staff position as Ontario Hub Manager. His contributions as Director of Media and Marketing have been to incorporate the new ‘Prime’ brand into the airline as well as streamline all media work and advertisement. Anders has also assisted the operations department with a number of projects, including managing flight schedules.
Please share your appreciation for Derrick’s hard work and congratulate Anders in his new venture with MetroAir.
From the Executive Board: Thank you Derrick and Congratulations Anders. We wish you both every success in your future endeavours.
