SAN JOSE, CA – Today, MetroAir Virtual Airlines announced expanded service from Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport in San Jose, CA.
The expanded service will see flights to San Jose from Baltimore, Chicago-O’Hare, Kansas City, and Portland (OR).
“San Jose is a city we’ve been looking to increase service from for a while now. With the high demand for flights to the Bay Area, especially as airports like SFO and Oakland become more busy, we felt it was the right time to get a bit more serious.”, stated Zak Winnick, Director of Fleet and Route Development. “Also, with Levi’s Stadium now up and running, we’ll definitely see an increase in traffic for the 49ers games during the NFL season as well.”
The new flights are as follows:
- MET261/262 MCI-SJC-MCI, A319
- MET4007/4008 PDX-SJC-PDX, A319
- MET1071 ORD-SJC-ORD, A320
- MET774 BWI-SJC-BWI, A321
MetroAir has also announced daily service from their main hub at Kansas City International to Albuquerque, NM, as well as upgraded service on Baltimore to Hunstville, AL and Jackson, TN utilizing new Embraer ERJ-170LRs.
In addition to the new service, service from Baltimore to Gulfport, MS has been discontinued.
