MetroAir Releases Upcoming Schedule Changes

Blog BannerKANSAS CITY, MO – MetroAir officials released today a list of upcoming scheduled flight changes which will become effective on March 1st.

The list of flight changes shows over 20 new routes as peak travel season approaches and nationwide travel figures escalate.

Included in the list of new routes are MetroAir’s regional flights to 4 cities in the Pacific Northwest, three new destinations from LAX, and a host of new routes from Baltimore-Washington.

Seasonal flights aimed at spring breakers will be headed to Panama City Beach, FL and Valparaiso, FL, both cities which have never been served by MetroAir.

After cutting six flights from Austin during the winter season, MetroAir plans to begin direct service to San Jose, CA and San Francisco, focusing on the large tech industries at both ends.

Standing out among the new flights are two new long hauls from Kansas City, one headed to Honolulu, HI, and the other headed to Dublin, Ireland. Both flights will run through the peak summer travel season and will end on Nov. 1.

Lastly, MetroAir will become the only US air carrier to fly to Doha, Qatar, with tack-on service from Dubai. The 60 minute flight from Dubai will carry connecting passengers from the US Captiol, as well as passengers originating in Dubai.
