Following the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey on Houston and much of east Texas MetroAir will be sending aid and relief workers to help with the clean up effort and help the residents who have lost everything as a result.
Long-time staff member Lindle Romero is a resident of Houston. We have heard from him and while he & his family are safe, their home has been flooded. Unfortunately he had just moved back into his home a few months ago after another storm had caused major flooding last year. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lindle, his family, and all of the residents who have suffered through this storm.
Our scheduled flights from Kansas City into Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas will be running as relief flights for the next few weeks.
Flights are now active and available to fly. Check the Hurricane Harvey Relief Flights schedule to bid.
We encourage those who are able, please make a donation to assist with the relief efforts. The cleanup is expected to last for months and all cash donations will help. Any pilot who flies one of the relief flights and/or let's us know they have made a donation to one of the many charities accepting funds for Harvey victims will be awarded the Emergency Relief badge.
Consider one of these organizations to make a donation:
- Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund
- American Red Cross
- Public Good (donations split amonst numerous organizations)
