New Expanded Pacific Service

Hagatna, GU - In a joint press conference, MetroAir and the Guam Chamber of Commerce announced today that the carrier will begin four-times weekly direct service to the island, the first time in its 14 year history. The move is expected to bring increased competition in serving the small territory, and provide further expansion to Metro's already significant Asian network.

Service will begin this week with the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner from Los Angeles with an intermediate stop at Honolulu's Inouye Airport. Home to 160,000, Guam boasts a quickly growing tourism-based economy as well as a large military presence.
