Kansas City, MO - MetroAir Virtual Airlines, part of the Stratosphere Group, Inc has today announced the completion of a sale that will see the airlines current Chief Executive Officer, William Hogarth take full ownership of the company and all its subsidiaries from the long serving Chairman and former CEO, Matthew Calsada.
The sale was announced today at a press conference at the airlines Kansas City Headquarters following several months of planning. The companies exchange of ownership from Mr Calsada to Mr Hogarth will not affect the current state and future operation of the airline or its subsidiaries, Allegius, MetroAir Connect or Makai Express. The exchange will also see Mr Calsada resign as Chairman of the Board and the Board of Directors, he said "My original plans for keeping up with the exec team hasn't really come to fruition." he then went on to say "I don't see myself having anymore time and I keep finding MetroAir fall through my fingers more and more. With all that said, I think it's time to fully transition MetroAir over to the existing Executive team.
Mr Hogarth ended the conference by paying tribute to Mr Calsada's legacy at MetroAir. "Mr Calsada has been a pioneer and great visionary for MetroAir, he has steered and overseen its growth since joining the airline back in February 2006. He has guided the airline through its greatest years and been responsible for its expansions and successes over that time. As a result he leaves MetroAir in a strong and stable position and everyone here at the airline will be grateful to him for his hard work, dedication and time to the airline and flight sim community.
The completion of the exchange is set to be finalized by October 14th 2019.
