The two aircraft will be flown from Phoenix to Los Angeles & Boston in preparation for their first commercial flights later this month. MetroAir said that it plans to roll out the B747 on its domestic network to begin with so that crew can familiarize with the new type.

One route that has been announced is from Boston to Los Angeles which will operate on N747MU which has been painted in a new special promotional paint. The airlines Chief Personnel Officer, Sean Mullineaux said "We are pleased to begin rolling out the new aircraft to the fleet today and are very excited to begin our commercial services shortly. We are still working to finalize where the aircraft will fly, but we are planning to operate these on shorter domestic routes.
